About me

Oghogho Christopher Gwabin Musa
President, Defence and Police Officers Wives Association.
Co-Founder, Christopher Oghogho Foundation.
Oghogho Gwabin Musa is a dedicated, visionary and dynamic leader committed to humanitarian causes, philanthropy, and education.
As the President of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA), she leads initiatives that have significantly strengthened community bonds among officers’ wives. Under her leadership, DEPOWA has introduced programs promoting personal development, such as her project on a personal visioning and planning workshop for officers’ wives across states in Nigeria, which has helped women live more balanced, vision-driven, and value-oriented lives, gaining clarity of their personal life direction. Other initiatives, such as Walk for Health, a bi-monthly health walk program, have helped women prioritize their health, skill acquisition programs for wives and children of fallen heroes, and youth empowerment and development programs for barracks youths. This drives her vision of helping women, girls, and youth within the Armed forces live balanced, values-oriented, and industrious lives.
Her efforts include collaboration with the United Nations and other organizations to empower women through personal development and entrepreneurship.
Oghogho is a focused and compassionate advocate for the well-being of families, women, and girls within the armed forces and across Nigeria. She tirelessly works to enhance rights and opportunities for women, girls, and youths, addressing critical issues in education, health, and economic empowerment while challenging social and cultural norms.
Beyond her role at DEPOWA, Oghogho co-founded the Christopher Oghogho Foundation, a light of hope for women, girls, and youth in vulnerable communities. The foundation’s initiatives include medical outreach, skill-building workshops, and distributing hygiene kits to support young girls in public schools and disadvantaged areas through the girls’ hygiene empowerment initiative. These efforts are a testament to Oghogho’s unwavering commitment to uplifting the most vulnerable in our society.
Oghogho Gwabin Musa is married to General Christopher Gwabin Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff of Nigeria, and they are blessed with children.

Testimonials

I have known the President of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA) in the person of Mrs. Oghogho Gwabin Musa for over two decades.
She’s strong, energetic, full of life, and a child-like heart. She’s a hard worker with an impeccable work ethic and a disciplinarian.
For me, it’s her humility and work ethic. Perhaps arising from her deep spirituality is her profound humility: she is one very humble woman despite her position and power.
She is compassionate, has a robust support system, and continually seeks ways to reach out and help.
She is an amazing mother and a dependable sister and friend.
